The rain put a dampener on the day, however, it was good to see so many Lotuses this year, especially Esprit’s. A number of owners braved the track and there were some spectacular high speeds spins, thankfully no accidents. 2 Lotus Esprit 350 sports and an S300 were too loud to go on the circuit, over the 100 decibels limit. The bronze Lotus Esprit S2 had been fully restored, under going a body off restoration. The black Lotus Esprit (above right) is infact a highly modified Lotus Esprit S1. Towards lunch time, the rain clouds came and most people left early.
