Blues Guitar by Mark Blanchard

Welcome to Blanchard's Blues, a website dedicated to blues guitar improvisation. Below are some links to my blues guitar playing. I am using a Gibson Les Paul, through Fender Deluxe 112 Plus amp and a Zoom pedal. To listen click the buttons:

I find Gibson guitars perfectly suited to playing the blues. The Les Paul has a warm rich tone and I like the 50's style neck.

I have played the guitar since 1983 and am passionate and enthusastic about the blues. I use the blues scale and add the minor and lydian mode.

This next song I'm improvising on my Gibson SG. Frank Weatherley is playing the hammond organ and he mixed the song.
